Sanjay Gupta, based in Dallas, leads Egon Zehnder’s global Industrial Practice, working with CEOs and boards of industrial and manufacturing companies headquartered in the US, Europe and Asia to address their key business challenges, create shareholder value and successfully attract top global talent; often in very challenging situations. Sanjay develops deep client relationships and links talent management directly to company strategy. He also works closely with clients to assess internal executive talent as well as scan the market for relevant external benchmarks leading to many successful CEO and board searches. Furthermore, Sanjay works with emerging/high-growth companies that are going global through acquisitions.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Sanjay was Executive Vice President, International Marketing with Mahindra & Mahindra, a large Indian conglomerate, where he successfully led strategic alliances, joint ventures and acquisitions. Sanjay was also President of Mahindra USA, and continues to serve on its board. Earlier, he was Vice President of Marketing for Pangborn Corporation, a private equity-backed US company, where he led global sales & marketing and set up joint ventures in China, South Korea and India. Sanjay started his career with a boutique consulting firm which specialized in manufacturing strategies for large industrial companies.

Sanjay earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Gujarat University in India, as well as an MS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from University of Maryland.
