Sarah Rome Joins Egon Zehnder’s US Consumer and Technology Practices

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Egon Zehnder, a global leader in executive search and leadership advisory services, today announced that Sarah Rome has joined the firm's Los Angeles office as a core member of the firm's Consumer and Technology practices, advising consumer, retail, and technology organizations on a broad range of talent-management topics, including executive search, management assessment and development, and board advisory services.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Ms. Rome was Vice President of Merchandising for Staples at the company headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts. During her 14-year career at Staples, she had a proven track record for driving results and leading change, fueled by her passion for the customer and her talent for building strong teams. As lead merchant for a company growth initiative, Ms. Rome had profit-and-loss accountability for a $650 m business that spanned retail, eCommerce, and sales-force channels. At Staples, she held a variety of additional leadership roles, including Vice President of Customer Service and Communication, Director of Store Operations, and Consultant within the Strategy group for the US and European business. Sarah began her career as a Consultant in Accenture's Change Management practice, based in San Francisco and Paris, France, where she advised retail, technology, and travel and transportation clients on topics related to people, process, and organizational strategy.

Ms. Rome has an MBA from the Wharton School in Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Portuguese from the University of California at Berkeley.
