The July edition of
manager magazin has featured the results of Egon Zehnder International's
6th International Executive panel. The panel surveyed over 1,000 top executives on the topic of reward. According to manager magazin, the study shows that, "Money is by no means the most important incentive for top leaders:" Three quarters of participants considered, "Interesting work content as their key motivator on the job." The magazine quotes
Johannes von Schmettow, head of Egon Zehnder International Germany, who says, "Recognition of their achievements is the top priority for managers. Monetary aspects primarily play a role as an expression of this recognition."
