Struggling companies need turnaround leaders Nikkei Report
Struggling companies that cannot make decisions on their own but need a rapid turnaround tend to turn to flexible-thinking top executives, reports the Nikkei. These leaders do not have a magic wand, as often claimed by analysts, but instead tend to adopt a standard approach of analyzing their company’s weaknesses and making rational decisions based on their results. According to Hideaki Tsukuda, a consultant at Egon Zehnder International, Tokoyo, struggling companies should recruit outsider leaders who: “can deny precedents without constraints.”
