India’s infrastructure sector sees rising executive churn
livemint

India’s traditionally stable infrastructure industry has seen a major reshuffle at the senior executive level over the past six months, reports Livemint. In a sector where leaders often used to stay with the same company until retirement, these developments mark a major new trend, notes Neeraj Sagar, a consultant at Egon Zehnder International, Bangalore. Executive churn was previously limited to fast-growth industries like IT, banking and financial services. However demand for senior leaders in the infrastructure, construction and engineering industries now appears to be soaring too, warn recruitment experts. “The fast expansion in the sector, launch of new projects and the entry of new players, both domestic as well as multinationals, have led to a war for leadership talent,” concludes Sagar.
