How networks can help leaders Sonntagszeitung
How important are networks in terms of building an executive career, asks the Swiss Sonntagszeitung? According to Philippe Hertig, head of Egon Zehnder International's Zurich office, networks have become a major success factor for aspiring leaders. In Hertig’s view, however, real networks such as professional and alumni organizations are more important than virtual social networks. “I see the purpose of networks as: growing, positioning and surviving. You build up a network, position yourself - and ultimately networks help you to survive difficult times,” concludes Hertig.
