Executive compensation and the merits of bonuses was the focus of discussions during the second part of the 6th Eastern Swiss Human Resources Day, reports the Swiss magazine
Leader. The bonus system, and specifically severance payments for top managers, drew criticism from a number of speakers.
Mark Hoenig, a consultant at Egon Zehnder International, Zurich, advised companies to adopt a flattening bonus curve once goals have been achieved. Hoenig also highlighted the importance of regular checks to align performance and pay.
