The
FAZ reports about the creation of the global practice
“Strategic Restructuring” at Egon Zehnder International. The goal of the consulting approach, according to
Johannes von Schmettow, CEO in Germany, is to support companies who are restructuring by “subjecting the entire top level of management to a fundamental analysis and orienting it toward a new business situation.” Currently, 10 to 20 percent of the almost 400 consultants worldwide are engaged in restructuring projects. The current economic situation represents an acid test especially for younger executives, but it also opens up opportunities. “Now is the time when heroes are being born,” says Schmettow. Director of the new practice is
Jörg Ritter, consultant at Egon Zehnder International, Berlin, who also directs the global Industrial Practice.
