India's Bangalore is, "a metropolis for technology and software development" and is seen by many German companies as the "Gate to the Asian market," reports the online edition of the German
manager magazin. The development of the employment market is considered by many as a key factor in the further development of Bangalore. According to
Neeraj Sagar, a consultant at Egon Zehnder International, Bangalore, "The Indian manufacturing/industrial sector has lost a lot of young talent to other sectors over the past two decades, but especially to the finance and IT sectors. That will certainly remain a problem over the next decade, as the lack of qualified managers in the sector looks set to continue." But the industrial sector will return to growth and attract young engineers, says Sagar. "In addition to attracting talent from outside, industrial companies urgently need to discover in-house talent, promote accelerated training for high potential young managers, and integrate external hires more rapidly within their organisations," concludes Sagar.
