Marjorie Scardino, CEO of Pearson, publisher of the
Financial Times, recently hosted a roundtable on “Leadership After the Crisis” that was linked to the FT’s first ranking of the
50 top women in world business. Egon Zehnder International worked with the FT to compile this ranking.
Participants of the roundtable, among them
Damien O’Brien, CEO of Egon Zehnder International, “agreed that executives would have to re-adjust their values - and their pay scales – as a result of the crisis.”
O’Brien added that companies would need “inspirational leaders who have a value proposition for talent that is not just based on dollars” if they were to rise to future challenges.
