Ty Gold leads Egon Zehnder’s Global Sports Practice. He believes in the enduring power of sports to connect and entertain diverse groups in the face of an ever-evolving experiential and media landscape. Ty advises professional leagues, media platforms, and other sports-related organizations on a range of leadership issues. He also is an active member of Egon Zehnder’s Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance practice.

Ty has extensive experience in sports, law, and governance. Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Ty was an attorney at Proskauer Rose LLP, representing clients across sports and other industries. He then advised Boards and executives of multi-billion dollar organizations on governance, transactional, litigation, intellectual property, labor, regulatory, and other matters as a senior in-house attorney & consultant.
Ty has a J.D. from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a B.A. in History from the University of Michigan. He also completed an intensive program in French, history, the fine arts and international business at La Sorbonne and the American University of Paris.
