Charles “Chuck” Gray, based in New York, co-leads Egon Zehnder’s U.S. CEO and Board Practice. He advises clients on CEO Succession, board recruitment, board effectiveness, and other board related projects. His works spans all sectors including financial services, technology, consumer, industrial, and health care. Previously Chuck led the U.S. Technology Officers practice where he worked with clients on CIO, CTO, CDO and other technical leadership roles. Chuck also co-led the North America Diversity Practice.

I love the adrenaline rush that comes from solving a search. Finding the right candidate at the right time for a client never gets old.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Chuck was a New York-based Executive Director at J.P. Morgan Chase, where he served as the Chief of Staff for the global head of Treasury Services Operations. Previously, he was based in Boston as a Director in the M&A and strategy departments of Liberty Mutual Group. Earlier in his career, Chuck was an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company in Dallas and an Associate at Credit Suisse First Boston in New York.

Chuck earned a BA from Morehouse College in Atlanta and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is an enthusiastic sports fan and loves watching football and cheering on his son’s soccer team.
