According to Kacyn, board reviews are a key tool for maintaining a dynamic and productive top team. They offer directors a structured approach to assessing their individual and collective performance, allowing them to uncover problems, fix them and focus on continuous improvement. Indeed, reviews are not only invaluable post-crisis, argues Kacyn, but should form part of the board's ongoing work.
