The future of global talent Valor Economico
Despite CEO churn caused by the recent crisis, top talent is still scarce and going global, writes Damien O'Brien, CEO of Egon Zehnder International, in the Brazilian business daily Valor Economico. Western companies are increasingly looking for executives with experience in Eastern markets to help them grow their revenues. Indeed, surveys by Egon Zehnder International suggest that companies are planning to recruit 32 percent more top executives from markets outside their home markets over the next 6 years. Yet tomorrow's top leaders may prove hard to hold onto, warns O'Brien. To attract and retain top performers, organizations will need to develop a value proposition that makes them want to contribute their creativity and passion, he concludes.
