A CFO for The Hunger Project The Hunger Project and Egon Zehnder International, New York
The Hunger Project was founded in 1978. This year brought the appointment of Jill Lester as the organization's new CEO. She quickly made fostering internal professionalism in the area of finance and grants development the central plank of her mandate. Among other measures she decided to recruit a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and turned to Egon Zehnder for help.
On a partly pro bono basis the New York office team found, assessed, and presented three top candidates with long-standing career among venerable U.S. banks. David Buxbaum, an ex-investment banker with a carrer spanning assignments in Europe, Australia, and the U.S., was finally selected for this position and will take up the new CFO role in November.
