In this third edition of Experts, the Legal Professional Practice dives into the sensitive relationship between the General Counsel and the Board of Directors. The increased importance of professional governance also impacts the role of legal officers, both in how they deal with governance issues themselves and in how they interact with the board as a whole and its individual members. Because the role of the General Counsel is rapidly evolving and gaining in importance, this issue of Experts focuses on the heart of what we do every day in our Legal Professionals Practice Group: help organizations select the right person for the role of chief legal officer.
