Business today is interconnected and global. With this first Global Board Index, Egon Zehnder International has set out to quantify the current state of the "globalness" of U.S. boards and to determine whether and how representation of international directors links to business success. According to the Index, companies that do not appoint boards of a truly global nature will increasingly find themselves at a competitive disadvantage.
