Heloise Nel Egon Zehnder, Johannesburg
Heloise Nel, based in Johannesburg, leads senior executive and board searches in South Africa and Africa for clients in energy, natural resources, and other capital intensive industries. Heloise also serves clients in banking, insurance, and private equity.
Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Heloise was a Senior Manager in Accenture's Resource Management practice, where she was engaged in complex projects in the US, the UK, and throughout Southern Africa. During her seven years at Accenture, Heloise primarily served energy and mining clients, with a focus on country and corporate strategy as well as large scale organization transformation. She started her career as a project engineer, managing the design of marine diamond plants for De Beers – most notably the diamond processing plant on board ships off the coast of Namibia.
Heloise earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) from University of Stellenbosch, in South Africa, and an MBA from Stellenbosch Business School. She is a Professional Engineer licensed by the Engineering Council of South Africa. Heloise is a Director and serves on the Executive Committee of the South African National Energy Association (SANEA), which is a chapter of the World Energy Council.
