Thais Junqueira Egon Zehnder, São Paulo
Thais Junqueira, based in São Paulo, is an active member of Egon Zehnder’s Services Practice. She draws on her broad management experience in multiple fields across education and nonprofit organizations to give clients astute advice.
Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Thais was the executive in charge of the Brazilian branch of Knewton, an adaptive learning company that has developed a platform for personalizing educational content. Before that she served first as Scholarship Program Manager and then Executive Director of Fundação Estudar, a Brazilian nonprofit institution that works to give promising young people better study and career opportunities. Previously, Thais held the post of Program Coordinator at Fundacão BRAVA, which supports projects in public management to drive Brazil’s transformation and advancement.
Thais sits on the board of Instituto Ser+, a nongovernmental organization that runs training and apprenticeship programs to help low-income and socially vulnerable young people in the greater São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro areas enter the job market.
Thais earned a BA in Administration at Fundação Getulio Vargas and an MA in International Comparative Education at Stanford University on a full scholarship from the Lemann Fellowship.
