Akihiko Fujioka, based in Tokyo, is active in Egon Zehnder’s Board Consulting and Executive Assessment and Development practices, with a particular focus on financial services, industry, and the public and social sectors. He provides services ranging from board advice, leadership strategy, and corporate transformation to executive search, management appraisals, and leadership consulting.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Akihiko served as a Principal with the Boston Consulting Group and A.T. Kearny, focusing on the financial, industrial, public, and high-tech sectors. Earlier, he ran his own strategic consulting firm targeting public enterprises and social services. Akihiko began his career at Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry.
Akihiko earned a BA in law from Kyoto University and an MBA from London Business School. He serves on the board of governors of the not-for-profit Kaigan Seaside Club, which organizes trips to the beach for children.
