Choosing a Top Leader: "a Question of Attitude, not Age"
A growing number of leaders are landing top jobs at a very young age, reports the Austrian business magazine trend. But for Raimund Steiner, Leader of Egon Zehnder's Vienna office, age isn’t the real issue when it comes to making executive appointments. “Are leaders curious, willing to learn and enthusiastic? Can they deal with volatility? And can they really implement new ideas? These traits are all a question of attitude, not age,” notes Steiner. In his view, potential is the key factor to be taken into account when recruiting for a senior leadership position.
