Todd Auwarter leads Egon Zehnder’s Energy, Mining, and Process Industries Practice, representing about a fifth of Egon Zehnder’s U.S. revenue and including more than fifty colleagues. Based in Houston, he serves both publicly traded and private equity clients across all sectors of the energy industry, including upstream, midstream, downstream, oilfield services and equipment, as well as power, utilities, and renewables. With a focus on executive and board search, he also works across leadership development, long-term succession planning, coaching, and training, and has a passion for bringing leadership development to private equity investment and fund professionals.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Todd was a Principal at Bain & Company, working across the energy and industrial sectors. He began his career at the Corporate Executive Board.
Todd holds a BA in Public Policy from Brown University and an MBA with concentrations in Strategy and Finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with his wife, two sons, and their energetic goldendoodle. Todd and his wife are actively involved in supporting the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center through fundraising and volunteer efforts, and he previously served as a leader in the Kellogg Alumni Club of Houston.
