Alexei Sokolov is trusted by consumer goods companies as a reliable source of advice on top-level executive appointments, talent strategy, management appraisals, and executive development. He is active across Egon Zehnder’s Consumer, Industrial, Financial Officers, and Executive Assessment and Development practices, in addition to engagements in the Oil and Gas segment of the Energy and Clean Tech practice. Alexei strives to help clients explore new ideas and solutions, guiding them to think systematically about their immediate and long-term organizational needs.

Before coming to Egon Zehnder, Alexei was at TNK-BP, first in the role of a Senior Manager responsible for supporting the company’s board, shareholders, and high-ranking executives and later as the Head of Marketing and Commercial Analysis for Gas Stream. Earlier in his career he worked as a Management Consultant at Accenture and A.T. Kearney in Moscow and London, focusing mainly on strategy and business development for consumer, automotive, and oil and gas companies.
Alexei holds an MA from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, an MA in international conflict analysis from the University of Kent, and an MBA from the London Business School. Outside of work, his passions include traveling, fine wines, and Baroque opera.
