Based in London, So-Ang leads Egon Zehnder's Global Consumer Tech Practice Group and is a member of the Technology & AI Practice. His work focuses on leadership and talent challenges facing consumer-facing technology businesses, including gaming, marketplaces and platforms, digital commerce, and subscription-based business models. He advises founders, CEOs, boards, and investors on executive search, succession, leadership assessment, development, and culture transformation. So-Ang is also a core member of the firm's Legal, Regulatory & Compliance Practice.
I have always been drawn to people who challenge conventions and see possibilities where others see constraints. The most rewarding part of my work is the opportunity to learn from these leaders and help them navigate some of their most important decisions.
Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, So-Ang was a Counsel and Deputy Head of the New York office of the European law firm Noerr, focusing on venture capital and private equity transactions, mainly for clients in the digital and tech sector. So-Ang is also a co-founder and board member of Biomagnetik Park, a medtech company focusing on cardiac diagnosis.
So-Ang received law degrees from the University of Cologne and the Higher Regional Court of Berlin-Brandenburg. He subsequently earned an LL.M. from Columbia Law School in New York before completing his PhD in intellectual property law at the University of Cologne. So-Ang is a certified business-coach and speaks fluent German, English and Korean. Outside work he keeps his Playstation 5 close to him, is a trained yoga teacher and passionate about both classical and electronic music.
