Earlier, she worked at McKinsey & Company helping to address strategic challenges in healthcare and advising top leaders of hospitals, academic medical centers, and national and regional ministries of health across the U.S., U.K., Middle East, and North Africa. Marwa also served as a Knowledge Expert with McKinsey’s Health Systems Institute and was actively involved in the recruitment, training, and professional development of consultants worldwide.
Marwa earned a BS in electrical engineering and an MS and Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from the University of Michigan. Outside work, she chairs the board of the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding (ISPU), a national nonprofit organization that provides objective research and education on American Muslims. In her free time, Marwa enjoys kickboxing and kayaking and, most importantly, spending time with her husband and two young children.
