Based in Cologne, Amalia Brueckner is an active member of Egon Zehnder’s CFO & Audit Chair and Industrial practices with a special focus on the chemical industry. She leverages deep expertise and experience in executive management positions, in a holistic financial perspective and with supply chain management to help clients cultivate innovative and pioneering leadership and navigate through demanding situations. Before joining Egon Zehnder, Amalia spent 16 years at LANXESS in Cologne and Singapore, most recently as the VP of Financial Controlling and Supply Chain Management. Prior to that, she held various management roles in financial controlling, functional risk controlling and treasury. Additionally, she was Managing Director of IMD Natural Solutions. Amalia joined the trainee program of Bayer and LANXESS. During this time, she held various positions in different departments while studying for a bachelor’s degree in business administration at the University of Applied Sciences (FHDW). Afterwards, she decided to pursue her MBA at Nanyang Technology University in Singapore. She supplemented her training by completing an MBA summer module at the ESSEC Business School and an advanced management program at IESE.
Amalia loves spending time with friends and family. She is enthusiastic about traveling widely to explore the world’s culinary delights and cultural diversity and stays active by playing badminton, skiing, and occasionally riding a motorcycle.

Bevor Amalia Brückner zu Egon Zehnder kam, war sie 16 Jahre bei LANXESS in Köln und Singapur tätig, zuletzt als VP für Finanzcontrolling und Supply Chain Management. Zuvor hatte sie verschiedene Managementfunktionen im Finanzcontrolling, funktionalen Risikocontrolling und Treasury inne. Zudem war sie Geschäftsführerin der IMD Natural Solutions. Amalia Brückner nahm am dualen Trainee-Programm von Bayer und LANXESS teil. Während dieser Zeit hatte sie verschiedene Positionen in unterschiedlichen Abteilungen inne und studierte parallel dazu Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der Fachhochschule der Wirtschaft (FHDW). Im Anschluss machte sie ihren MBA an der Nanyang Technological University in Singapur und ergänzte ihre Ausbildung durch den Abschluss eines MBA-Sommermoduls an der ESSEC Business School und eines Advanced-Management-Programms an der IESE.
Amalia Brückner verbringt gerne Zeit mit Freunden und Familie. Sie begeistert sich dafür, auf Reisen die kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten und die kulturelle Vielfalt der Welt zu entdecken, und hält sich fit durch Badminton, Skifahren und gelegentliches Motorradfahren.
