Sharne Bryan, based in Melbourne, is a trained lawyer and trusted advisor to the public and social sectors, including government, leading sports and cultural organisations, NGOs, foundations and academic institutions. She works closely with clients to meet their full range of senior talent needs, from CEO succession across executive search to accelerated integration of executives transitioning to new roles. Sharne is active in Egon Zehnder’s Board Consulting and Executive Assessment and Development Practices and has a special interest in working with legal and compliance professionals.

Sharne was formerly a lawyer in the Victorian State Government, advancing to the role of Principal Legal Adviser in the Department of Premier and Cabinet where she specialised in managing the Premier’s legislative program and machinery of government. Sharne practiced in the areas of constitutional law, parliamentary practice and procedure, administrative law and government compliance. Earlier, she served as Clerk of the Executive Council in the Office of the Governor working closely with two Victorian Governors.
Sharne concurrently earned a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of New South Wales. After graduating, she completed her articles of clerkship at the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office and was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia. Outside of the office, Sharne enjoys relaxing with family and friends, and supporting her four children in their various sporting pursuits.
