Sharne Bryan, based in Melbourne, is a trained lawyer and trusted advisor to the public and social sectors, including government and regulatory bodies, NGOs, foundations, and academic institutions. She works closely with clients to meet their full range of senior talent needs, from CEO succession across executive search to accelerated integration of executives transitioning to new roles, with a particular focus on legal professionals and HR officers. Sharne is active in Egon Zehnder’s Board Consulting and Executive Assessment and Development practices.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Sharne advanced to the role of Principal Legal Advisor in the Department of Premier and Cabinet in the government of the Australian state of Victoria, where she specialized in constitutional law and practice, administrative law, and good governance arrangements. Earlier, she served as Clerk of the Executive Council in the Office of the Governor, working closely with two Victorian governors. Sharne began her career as a Legal Officer in the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office, appearing in Magistrates’, County, and Supreme Courts in connection with summary prosecutions and administrative law cases.
Sharne concurrently earned a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University and a BA in philosophy from the University of New South Wales. After graduating, she completed her articles of clerkship at the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office and was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia.
