Based in New York, Ashley Ma is a core member of Egon Zehnder’s Financial Services and Technology and Communications Practices. She is a trusted advisor to business and industry leaders, leveraging deep experience and problem-solving skills acquired as an investment banker, independent advisor, and operator to help them drive growth and transformational change.

I love building trusted relationships with clients and candidates to help them identify and take advantage of opportunities. It’s a privilege to help leaders navigate key organizational and professional challenges and achieve their goals.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Ashley spent many years as an independent strategic and financial advisor to startups and growth-stage companies, helping founders raise private capital and manage buy- and sell-side transactions. Her freelance activity has been interspersed with management roles, most recently as the Interim Head of Finance at luxury wellness brand Sakara Life. Prior to that Ashley was with GCA Global as a Vice President and then Director in its M&A group. She began her career at Jefferies in its technology, media, and telecom group.

Ashley earned a BA in economics from Harvard College, where she also served as the business manager of the Harvard Crimson, Harvard University’s daily newspaper. Passionate about creating and supporting mentorship opportunities for women’s development and leadership, she is active in the New York Junior League and previously served on its board as executive vice president. She also sits on the Alumnae Board of The Chapin School as Co-Chair, Annual Giving. When not working, Ashley enjoys live music concerts, exercising at SoulCycle, cooking with her husband, and spending time with her son and daughter.
