Ruby Richardson, based in New York, is a consultant in Egon Zehnder’s Financial Services Practice Group, where she supports clients in executive search, succession planning, and leadership development. With a strong background in complex search processes and talent strategy, Ruby is known for her ability to identify top leadership talent and build trusted, collaborative relationships with clients and candidates alike. Born in China, educated in the UK, and now based in the U.S., Ruby brings a global mindset and fluency in English and Mandarin. She is known for going beyond immediate solutions to build long-term partnerships based on trust, collaboration, and a deep understanding of client needs.

Before rejoining Egon Zehnder, Ruby served as Strategic Sourcing Manager at Diageo North America, where she led senior and executive-level searches and talent initiatives, including pipelining, workforce planning, and succession efforts. Earlier, she spent four years at Egon Zehnder as Global Head of Asset Management Research and Associate in Financial Services, where she managed CEO successions, board placements, and leadership assessments across asset management, banking, insurance, and private equity. She began her career at Huxley Associates, running quantitative searches in portfolio management, trading, and quantitative research.

Ruby holds a Bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, learning new skills, and spending time with her husband, two sons, and their dog. She is also active in the Horace Mann Parent Association.
