Ângela Pêgas, based in São Paulo, leads Egon Zehnder’s Services Practice in Latin America and coleads the Board Consulting Practice in Brazil, in addition to spearheading the firm’s diversity and inclusion initiatives in the region. Her expertise also extends to retail and consumer goods. Besides heading searches for legal professionals in Brazil, Ângela’s specialties include management appraisals, leadership development, CEO succession, team effectiveness reviews, board succession, and board effectiveness reviews.

I’m endlessly curious about business and motivated to impact the lives of remarkable people who are able to transform our world with their leadership.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Ângela was General Counsel with Ultrapar, in São Paulo, provided international legal advice on M&A and capital markets at AMBEV in São Paulo, and was an Investment Banking Associate in the Latin American division of Goldman Sachs while based in New York. Earlier in her carrier, she was a Corporate Law Coordinator at RBS - Rede Brasil Sul de Comunicações in Porto Alegre.

Ângela earned an LLB from Rio Grande do Sul Federal University in Brazil, an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in the U.S., and a postgraduate degree in economic and corporate law from the Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil. She loves her family, friends, and dogs and enjoys practicing yoga and running.
