Based in Toronto, Dale McDermott belongs to Egon Zehnder’s Consumer, Financial Services, and Industrial practices. He leverages his broad consulting and public sector experience to insightfully help clients across industries master their challenges. Dale’s expertise is particularly deep in the areas of marketing, communications, public affairs, sustainability, and regulatory matters. He is also active in the Firm’s Public & Social Sector, Services, Technology, and Communications practices.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Dale served as the Chief Operating Officer at CGLCC, Canada’s LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce, where he was responsible for all activities, programming, and policy. Prior to that he was with Salesforce in Toronto as Senior Project Lead of that organization’s global strategy & operations practice. Earlier, Dale was a Senior Consultant with Ernst & Young, advising clients in a variety of sectors across Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
Dale earned a BS (honours) in accounting and finance from Technological University Dublin. He is a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Canadian Club of Toronto, Canada’s oldest public affairs podium, and belongs to the Banff Forum, a network of Canadian leaders in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors who are committed to reinvigorating debate on key public policy issues with the goal of building a better Canada. Dale is also a Fellow of CivicAction’s DiverseCity Fellows program, an award-winning leadership experience for rising leaders in the Greater Toronto Area. Earlier, he served as the president of Ireland’s largest youth political organization, Young Fine Gael.
