Lyapa Nakazwe-Masiya, advises on C-suite and executive board mandates across the US. A member of Egon Zehnder’s Global Consumer and HR practices, she has deep expertise in consumer markets and growth businesses globally, having spent her earlier career as part of the Egon Zehnder Africa practice.

I love being able to partner with clients to debate and solve crucial business problems. These interactions influence my cognitive frame and have helped me become a better advisor.

Passionate about elevating HR & the people agenda within the US, she invests her time working with executives to help elevate the strategic role the function plays as well changing mindsets. Before joining Egon Zehnder, Lyapa was an Assignment Manager at Stanton Chase International, an American executive search company with operations in Africa. She began her career in a boutique consultancy.

Lyapa has a Bachelor of Commerce in information systems and a Postgraduate Diploma in marketing management from the University of Cape Town. She also has an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science. Lyapa is passionate about human psychology and published her first journal article on the effect of the impostor phenomenon on measures of assertiveness in female professionals. In her free time, she lectures on the Art of Storytelling and Personal Branding and enjoys spending time with her family.
