Dirk Mundorf advises national as well as international clients as an active member of Egon Zehnder’s global Human Resources Practice in Germany having a developed a spike in HR Tech. Based in Munich, Dirk is very active in the firm’s Leadership Advisory Practice in addition. He has lived in Greater China from 2007 to 2013. Prior to relocating to Hong Kong in 2007, he led Egon Zehnder’s Insurance Practice in Germany. Ever since he returned to Germany, he primarily works with midsized and family-owned global companies in the industrial and consumer sectors on senior leadership related matters, be it in executive search and advisory services.

Dirk has a long history of shaping businesses. Before joining Egon Zehnder in 2000, Dirk was a Director with The Boston Consulting Group and took on a wide range of strategic and operational projects for industrial, consumer goods as well as financial services clients. While with The Boston Consulting Group, Dirk lived and worked in Germany and India.
Dirk earned a Master of Economics (Diplom-Kaufmann), as well as a PhD in Economics & Geography from Johann Wolfgang Goethe University. He supports several NGOs focused on children and helped establishing an outpost of Save the Children in Hong Kong, being a member of the advisory board until the end of 2014.

Er ist aktives Mitglied der globalen Praxisgruppe People & Organisation (HR) und der Praxisgruppe Leadership Advisory Services. Ferner hat er einen Schwerpunkt im Bereich HR Tech entwickelt. Bevor er 2007 nach Hongkong übersiedelte, leitete er die Praxisgruppe Versicherungen in Deutschland. Dirk Mundorf hat wertvolle Erfahrungen in Asien, insbesondere in China gesammelt, wo er sechs Jahre lebte.
Bevor er 2000 zu Egon Zehnder kam, war Dirk Mundorf Direktor bei Boston Consulting Group, wo er eine Vielzahl strategischer und operativer Projekte betreute, hauptsächlich für Klienten aus den Sektoren Finanzdienstleistung und Konsumgüter. Während dieser Zeit lebte und arbeitete er in Deutschland und Indien.
Dirk Mundorf erwarb einen Studienabschluss als Diplom-Kaufmann in Betriebswirtschaftslehre und promovierte im Bereich der Wirtschaftsgeographie an der Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt/M.
Er ist ein engagierter Unterstützer von NGOs, die sich vor allem für Kinder einsetzen. Als Mitbegründer von Save The Children in Hongkong arbeitete er bis Ende 2014 als Non-Executive Director für die Organisation.
