Alexander Verbist is a consultant at Egon Zehnder based in Brussels. He is active in Board Consulting and CEO Succession and is a member of Egon Zehnder’s Family Business Advisory, Consumer and Legal Practice Groups. With a background spanning corporate governance, legal, HR and executive management, he brings a combination of strategic, organizational, and people expertise to his client work. Alexander helps organizations navigate transformation, balance structure with agility and foster environments that enable courageous, purpose-driven leadership. His consulting philosophy is grounded in authenticity, empathy, and curiosity.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Alexander was General Counsel and Chief HR Officer at Greenyard, where he was also part of the Group Executive Management. Earlier, he served as Legal Counsel at Tessenderlo Group, and he began his career as Senior Associate at Deloitte Legal, specializing in corporate law and cross-border M&A transactions.
Alexander holds a master’s in Law from KU Leuven and a master’s in General Management from Vlerick Business School. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his wife and children, spending time with family and friends, skiing, and sailing. He is currently training to obtain his private pilot’s license.
