Gabriele Röhrl draws on trust and deep relationships to give her clients in the machinery, engineering, transportation, and process industries meaningful advice. As part of Egon Zehnder’s CEO and Executive Assessment and Development practices, Gabriele provides senior-level executive search, board search, management appraisals, team effectiveness reviews, and accelerated integration support to leaders transitioning into new roles. Long-lasting connections with clients make her a trusted advisor to family companies. Gabriele works closely with boards to ensure a robust, objective, and confidential CXO succession process, including facilitating the development of future CXOs. She also helps build and develop best-in-class, effective, and diverse senior executive teams.

Recruiting the right candidate is not necessarily about finding the perfect match. Instead, it’s about helping a client and a candidate fall in love despite their differences.

Gabriele has been building expertise in the industrial sector throughout her career. Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, she was an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company and worked with clients in the services industry, the industrial sector, and retail, based in Munich and Toronto. Previously, she was a Product Manager for smart cards at Giesecke+Devrient in Munich.

Gabriele has an MBA and a PhD in statistics and empirical research from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. Outside of work, she enjoys skiing, sailing, and home renovation.

Gabriele Röhrl verfügt über weitreichende Erfahrung im Industriesektor, insbesondere in den Bereichen Automotive, Maschinenbau, Anlagenbau, Transport- und Prozessindustrie. Sie berät Familienunternehmen und engagiert sich in den Praxisgruppen CEO und Leadership Services. Gabriele Röhrl berät Klienten bei der Planung und Durchführung von komplexen Nachfolgeprozessen, speziell für CEO-Positionen, sowie bei der Zusammensetzung und Weiterentwicklung von Spitzenteams, um weltweit operierende Organisationen in Transformationsprozessen gezielt zu unterstützen. Sie ist eine erfahrene Ratgeberin für Aufsichtsräte und Beiräte, beispielsweise bei der Gestaltung eines klaren Kompetenzprofils, Nachfolgeregelungen und der Optimierung übergreifender Gremienarbeit.

Vor ihrer Tätigkeit bei Egon Zehnder war Gabriele Röhrl Engagement Manager bei McKinsey & Company in München und Toronto, wo sie Klienten aus dem Dienstleistungssektor und der Industrie betreute. Zuvor arbeitete sie als Produktmanager für Giesecke+Devrient in München.

Gabriele Röhrl ist Diplom-Kauffrau und promovierte in Wirtschaftswissenschaften an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in München und der University of Berkeley.
