Tilman Gerhardt is a Senior Leadership Advisor to Egon Zehnder's with a focus on leadership advisory services and in particular coaching and leadership development. Always based in Munich, he has been with the Firm for more than 30 years in various leadership roles to include practice group leadership for the Technology and Communications Practice as well as the Leadership Advisory Services Practice. He was Office Leader in Munich and Chairman of Egon Zehnder’s Global Partner Evaluation Committee. He is a certified coach and practitioner in various psychometrics.
I work closely with clients in technology sectors and traditional industries to find placements with high impact that accelerate digitization. Coaching executives to achieve breakthroughs in new roles or changing environments is exciting.
Tilman was a core member in the development of Egon Zehnder’s proprietary management appraisal approach based on scaled competencies and most recently developed Leadership SCRUM, an agile approach to leadership development. He is also author of books and articles related to executive assessment and development. Tilman teaches leadership at the university (Hochschule Fresenius).
Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Tilman was a Manager with Kearney in Munich and led large-scale strategy and business-process engineering projects. He started his career with the consulting firm Betriebswirtschaftliche Projektgruppe für Unternehmensentwicklung, Munich.
Tilman earned a masters degree in industrial engineering from the University of Karlsruhe (KIT) and a PhD in business administration from the University of Munich (LMU), where he was an assistant lecturer at the Seminar for Information and Communication Research.

Darüber hinaus ist Tilman Gerhardt Autor von Büchern und Artikeln zu Executive Assessment und Development und lehrt Leadership an der Hochschule Fresenius.
Vor seiner Zeit bei Egon Zehnder war Tilman Gerhardt Manager bei A.T. Kearney in München, wo er umfangreiche Projekte in den Bereichen Strategie und Business Process Engineering leitete. Seine berufliche Laufbahn begann er bei der Betriebswirtschaftlichen Projektgruppe für Unternehmensentwicklung in München.
Tilman Gerhardt hat Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) studiert und an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) in Betriebswirtschaft promoviert, wo er als Lehrbeauftragter am Seminar für Informations- und Kommunikationsforschung tätig war.
