Pawan Ambardekar, based in Palo Alto, is a consultant at Egon Zehnder’s Technology Practice Group. With a career spanning more than 25 years across the software and tech services industries, he brings a unique mix of entrepreneurial spirit, operational depth, and strategic acumen to advise clients on executive search, succession, and leadership development.
I am passionate about the ‘art’ of finding and developing great leaders—which is like spotting skilled riders on a winding road. It’s not about speed, but how they navigate uncertainty, stay balanced under pressure, and inspire confidence in those riding with them.
Before joining Egon Zehnder, Pawan worked as SVP – Office of the CEO at Relevance Lab. Prior to that, he was SVP of Growth and Global Head of Business Operations at GlobalLogic (A Hitachi Group Company). A trusted advisor to both venture-backed startups and private equity portfolio companies, Pawan has also been active in the startup ecosystem as a seed-stage investor and mentor to early-stage founders.
He holds an undergraduate degree in Engineering from Pune University and an MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB). Outside of work, Pawan is an avid motorcyclist who has ridden across the length of India, including the highest motorable pass in the Himalayas and now enjoys exploring the California coastline. He is an active blood donor with the Stanford Blood Center.
