Patrick Mendenall

Based in Seattle, Patrick Mendenall is an active member of Egon Zehnder’s Technology & Communications Practice with a special focus on the gaming industry. He leverages decades of management experience with responsibility for gaming, commerce, and consumer technologies to help clients navigate change, strengthen their strategies, and build capable teams. Patrick also provides a wide range of advice to help them master specific leadership challenges, including C-suite succession planning, team and executive development, and board-related issues.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Patrick spent over 20 years in various management roles at Microsoft, building high-performing teams and forging strategies to drive the success of that company’s Xbox, Azure, and Surface products. Most recently he was the Global Director of Designed for Surface, turning that business unit into a key revenue driver. Patrick launched his career as a compliance auditor with KPMG, focusing on clients in the information, communication, and entertainment (ICE) sector.

Patrick earned a BA in accounting from Western Washington University. When not working he spends as much time as possible with his wife and four children. Patrick is an avid fan of Seattle sports, video games, great music, and anything that’s well built.
