Based in Tokyo, Kotaro Shimizu is active in Egon Zehnder’s Industrial Practice. He is a respected advisor to clients across industries, though his particular expertise is in the electric industry, including factory automation, semiconductor and public infrastructure markets.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Kotaro was a senior manager at Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting, specializing in M&A Strategy. He worked with multinational companies on senior management issues such as M&A, corporate organizational transformation, and corporate strategy development.
He holds a B.A. in Economics from Kobe University and an M.S. in Economics from London School of Economics and Political Science.
Outside of work, Kotaro is passionate about acting and enjoys theater and musicals.
