Based in Houston, Heather O’Keefe leads Egon Zehnder’s U.S. Consumer Products Practice and is a member of the Firm’s Board and Chief Executive Officers practices. She serves clients in the consumer goods, retail, and apparel sectors with a particular focus on CEO/GM, board, marketing, and sales roles. Besides executive search, Heather advises clients on management appraisals and succession planning, organization strategy, and accelerated integration of transitioning executives.

There is a special aha moment when I meet an executive who will not only make a tangible impact on a client’s business but also be a genuinely good culture fit. That intersection of bottom-line impact and chemistry is incredibly powerful.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Heather held a range of marketing and general management roles with the Coca-Cola Company, Kraft Foods, and Paris Presents Incorporated, a family-owned producer of branded and private-label personal care products. She began her career in the Chicago office of Bain & Company, advising clients in the consumer products, electronics, and financial services industries on topics including post-merger integration, breakout growth strategy, supply chain strategy, and procurement.

Heather earned a BA in economics, mathematical methods in the social sciences, and sociology from Northwestern University and an MBA with focuses on marketing and entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. When not working, she loves to spend time golfing, cooking, and enjoying time with her husband and two children.
