Heather O’Keefe leads Egon Zehnder’s U.S. Family Business Advisory Practice. She is also an active member of the Firm’s Consumer, Board and Chief Executive Officers practices. She partners with family and founder-led clients on succession planning, board, and executive recruiting. She also advises consumer products clients on CEO/GM, board, marketing, and commercial roles, in addition to management assessments, succession and org design.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Heather held a range of marketing and general management roles with the Coca-Cola Company, Kraft Foods, and Paris Presents Incorporated, a family-owned beauty products producer. She began her career in the Chicago office of Bain & Company, advising clients on post-merger integration, breakout growth strategy, supply chain strategy, and procurement.
Heather earned a BA in economics, mathematical methods in the social sciences, and sociology from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. When not working, you can find her golfing, cooking, practicing yoga and soaking up precious time with her daughter (11), son (8) and husband of 16 years.
