Joseph Kusia is a Melbourne-based consultant whose work spans financial services, private capital, infrastructure and real estate, with additional experience across technology, industrials and government. Combining a strategic perspective with a pragmatic and collaborative approach, Joseph advises investors, boards and leadership teams on executive search, succession and leadership assessment, helping them identify exceptional talent and build effective leadership teams.
I am fascinated by the relationship between leadership, capital and long-term value creation. Helping organisations find the right leaders, and supporting those leaders to realise their potential and create lasting impact, is both a privilege and a responsibility.
Before joining Egon Zehnder, Joseph was an equity research analyst at Goldman Sachs in Melbourne, covering major listed infrastructure and industrial companies across Australia and New Zealand. Previously, he worked as an economic policy analyst in the Australian Federal Government, contributing to infrastructure and housing policy at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and the Department of Infrastructure. He began his career as a graduate consultant at PwC and gained early experience working in a small family property business.
Joseph holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University, an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School. Outside work, Joseph enjoys travelling, reading fiction, playing the piano and spending time with family and friends. He is also an enthusiastic runner and lifelong football fan.
