Based in Chicago, Max Penning is active in Egon Zehnder’s Industrial, Services, and Private Capital practices. He is a strategic advisor to global multinationals, private equity firms, and family-owned organizations. Max has expertise consulting on talent topics across the spectrum of industrial technology and business services sectors, often working at the intersection in technology-enabled services. Max focuses on developing the talent pipeline for CEOs, General Managers, Sales, Marketing, and Product leaders. He is passionate about enhancing business performance by increasing leadership and team effectiveness.

Max brings more than ten years of talent advisory experience through his tenure at Egon Zehnder. He has been a critical leader in building the firm’s capability in Greenfield areas and developing talent. Before joining Egon Zehnder, Max gained experience at a variety of professional services companies.

Max earned a BA in politics and government from Ohio Wesleyan University. In his free time, Max enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and listening to podcasts, enjoying all forms of comedy and Chicago sports teams.
