Pete Agnes is a core member of Egon Zehnder’s Financial Services Practice, focusing on Private Equity, Asset Management, and FinTech. He leverages the perspective gained through his nearly twenty years in the markets as an investor to serve clients through both executive search and leadership advisory. Pete is also active in the firm’s Healthcare practice focusing on the intersections between life sciences and investing.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Pete was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Caxton Associates in New York where he focused on credit and equity investments. Before Caxton, he was a Managing Director and Global Head of the Credit Opportunities Group at Barclays Capital, and a Director within the Global Credit Strategies Group at UBS. Pete began his career as a distressed and event driven research analyst.
Pete serves on the Board of Minds Matter, a nonprofit that provides college preparation and mentoring to low-income, high-performing high school students across the United States and is on the Boston Advisory Board of the Concussion Legacy Foundation. He also sits on the Executive Board of Boston-based sports technology focused venture capital firm Will Ventures. Pete earned his MBA from Duke University and his BA from Dartmouth College, and is a CFA charterholder.
Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his wife and three children, coaching youth sports, fishing, and skiing.
