Jaroslav (Jarda) Němec, is an active member of Egon Zehnder’s Global Financial Officers, Technology and Communications, and Industrial practices. He works across the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and Central and Eastern Europe to meet clients’ executive recruitment and development needs with a focus on CEOs, CFOs, and CHROs. Passionate in themes of modern leadership, Jarda provides tailored executive coaching and mentoring.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder’s team, Jarda spent over a decade at Microsoft in various financial functions. He first held local financial management roles in Prague, then was promoted to Finance Director at the regional headquarters in Munich with responsibility for more than 25 countries. Earlier, Jarda led Internal Audit and Consulting at Telefónica O2 and worked as a consultant for PwC. He began his career as a project manager with the Ford Motor Company.
Jarda earned an undergraduate degree at the Technical University of Ostrava in the Czech Republic, then a PhD in environmental studies and economy from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and Charles University in Prague. He does pro bono work for several small and family-owned businesses, including a best-in-class psychology and psychotherapy web portal. Jarda is an enthusiastic and devoted father to his young twin daughters. As a former ice hockey player, he still enjoys playing but now needs to spend more time practising yoga, enjoys surfing whenever he has a chance to do it and reading books.
