Before coming to Egon Zehnder, Catarina was with the Bank of America in London in the role of Regulatory Change Business Manager after running the corporate sales desk for commodity derivatives. Prior to that she was jointly responsible for the EMEA corporate oil sales desk at BNP Paribas, also in London. Earlier, Catarina held the role of Executive Director in charge of Nordic and Austrian money market security sales at Goldman Sachs. She began her career at AB Svenska Shell in Stockholm as a Business Improvement Consultant before transferring to Shell in the UK to successively serve as Business Development Manager for industrial fuels in the UK, Ireland and Nordic countries, Project Manager for European Oil Products and Energy Central Pricing Desk Manager, before taking responsibility for sales of oil derivatives at STASCO/Shell Trading.
Catarina earned an International Baccalaureate from the United World College in Italy and an MSc in business administration and management studies from the School of Economics and Commercial Law at Gothenburg University in Sweden. Outside work, Catarina enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, skiing, cooking and eating good food, and travelling to meet new people and explore other cultures.
