Jennifer Dewar Thomas, based in Toronto, leads Egon Zehnder’s Financial Services Practice in Canada. She is an expert in CEO succession and C-suite executive search and assessment. Additionally, Jennifer leads the Human Resources Practice in Canada with a specialization in CHROs.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Jennifer was Head of Talent Management at Oliver Wyman, where she led the Americas’ talent management team for the core consultant group and was a member of the Global Human Capital Leadership Team. Previously, Jennifer was an Engagement Manager with Oliver Wyman (formerly Mercer Management Consulting), based in Toronto. She worked closely with clients in North America, Africa, and Europe on strategy engagements across multiple sectors, including financial services, manufacturing, transportation, energy and health and life sciences. Jennifer was also an Associate at Equity Africa, a fledgling social venture capital firm in South Africa.

Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University in Canada, and an MBA from London Business School, during which she participated in the International Exchange Program at CEIBS, in Shanghai, China. A proud Nova Scotian, she loves to explore remote and unique parts of the world while traveling with her husband and three young children, spending as much time as possible outdoors and connecting with people she encounters along the way.

Jennifer Dewar Thomas is a trusted advisor to Canadian, multi-national, family-owned and private-equity backed organizations seeking guidance on critical issues including CEO and C-level executive search, board search, succession planning, assessment and development, and accelerated integration. She serves clients across industrial, services, and consumer sectors, with a specialization in searches for CHROs and senior-level HR/Talent leaders, and Digital leaders.
