Amanda Roberts, based in New York, leads Egon Zehnder’s U.S. Consumer Practice as well as the North American Communications and Public Affairs Officers Practice. She is also active in the firm’s Chief Marketing Officers Practice. She is a trusted senior advisor to business-to-business and business-to-consumer companies. In addition to recruiting chief communications officers and chief marketing officers for U.S. and global clients in the retail, technology, and consumer goods sectors, she has deep expertise working with private equity firms on CEO and top leadership roles.

My job means using talent to solve a complex puzzle. I get energized seeing breakthrough moments, like when a great candidate helps a client unlock a business challenge.

Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Amanda served as COO and led all marketing and business development initiatives at Management Leadership for Tomorrow, a national nonprofit focused on minority achievement. Amanda was previously Chief of Staff to the global Chairman of Young & Rubicam Brands; Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Wall Street Institute; and Principal Consultant at the Parthenon Group, a strategic management consulting firm. Earlier in her career, Amanda worked for a targeted marketing startup and led a retail sales force in the telecommunications industry.

Amanda has a BA from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Outside of work, she can often be found at the ice hockey rink cheering on her teenage children.
