Kohei Onozaki is active in Egon Zehnder’s Health and Public and Social Sector practices. He works with top executives at Japanese health-care and medical institutions.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Kohei was President of the Health and Global Policy Institute. Previously, he was the Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Legal at the pharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca. Kohei has also worked at Johnson & Johnson.
Kohei has a BA in law from Hosei University and an MS in health policy and management from Harvard University’s School of Public Health. He is Health Policy Advisor for Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare and has served as a member of several government committees, including the Secretary General of the Health Care 2035 Advisory Panel. When not working, he enjoys gardening with his children and is passionate about helping disadvantaged people and communities.
