​A German-Brazilian living in London, Sven Petersen advises on leadership talent and development across sectors but spends most of his time in the technology and communications sectors. He leads Egon Zehnder’s UK Technology Practice and is active in the firm’s Executive Assessment and Development and Technology Officers practices. Sven has deep experience in senior-level executive and nonexecutive recruitment for publicly listed companies as well as private-equity-portfolio businesses.

I am fundamentally interested in helping leaders at critical transition points of their journeys. I have the privilege to do so by working with outstanding colleagues providing insight and inspiration.

​Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Sven was Founder and Managing Director of talent advisory firm P5 Management in London. Previously, he was Senior Consultant with the media and telecoms strategy firms Fathom Partners and Spectrum Strategy Consultants, both in London.

​Sven has an MSc in executive coaching from Ashridge Business School and a BSc in international relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He enjoys playing piano and guitar, collecting art, and spending time with his daughters and wife.
